New Library System Launches July 16!

Hunter Library is launching a new library services platform on July 16The new system will replace the current Library Catalog, OneSearch, and our management system for library circulation, acquisitions, and cataloging.

Between July 11th and 16th, you will not be able to place holds, renew books online, or access your library account. During this time, the Circulation Desk will have a manual process for checking out books.

Your reading history, if you have saved one in your account, will not be migrated to the new system. If you wish to save it, log in to your account and use the “Export My Reading History” button for export options, or ask library staff for help.

With the new library system, library users will now be able to:

  • Find books, articles, eBooks, streaming films, and other resources in a modern discovery system that integrates the Library Catalog and online research databases.
  • View and request items from other universities in the UNC System.
  • Enjoy more seamless walk-in borrowing privileges at other participating libraries.

Faculty can more easily create reading lists of library resources for their courses via Canvas.
