Librarian Assists Patron via Chat Service

The library’s online chat service is one of the everyday educational tools that is available nearly all of the time and as close as the keyboard on your computer or mobile device. All you have to do is type a question to initiate a back-and-forth exchange with a librarian.

During hours that the reference desk is open, the chat inquiries are answered by WCU librarians. At other times the service is staffed by NC Knows, a collaboration of librarians who work at universities and public libraries across the state.

Get help with your research, ask general questions, or let us know about any issues in the library building using this service. A librarian will be there to help any time of the day or night, except for the hours from midnight until 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
