Hunter Library Access Update

No Comments on Hunter Library Access Update

Effective March 25, only Hunter Library faculty and staff (as well as Coulter Faculty Commons, Mountain Heritage Center and IT Commons staff) may enter the building. As we navigate this fluid situation, Hunter Library will continue to provide a range of services from our dedicated staff Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm. The library will not be physically staffed on weekends until further notice.

Our dedicated access services staff, on a rotating basis, will work in the library 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, to respond to requests for physical materials. We will be instituting a new service to allow students and faculty to request curbside pickup for print books that are requested. More on that process can be found here.

It is important to note that we have adjusted our circulation policies to waive overdue fines and extend all due dates automatically to the end of the semester or until further notice.

Our robust infrastructure of online collections, databases, eBooks and streaming film services remains active and available 24/7 to faculty and students.

If you have any questions about library services, please do not hesitate to contact the library at 828-227-7485 or Toll-free: 866-928-5424 or by email at askalibrn@wcu.edu.
