New Guide for Black and African American Genealogy Research

Hunter Library has a new guide to help those with Black and African American ancestors research their family histories. The Black and African American Genealogy Guide includes information, resources, search tips, and recommendations specific to tracing Black and African American heritage.  Sources focus mainly on U.S.-based information with special emphasis on resources available from North Carolina and the four surrounding states and commonwealths:  Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia.
