WCU students, faculty, and staff have the chance to attend a third CareZone workshop on February 25. CareZone begin in spring 2018 and is a two-hour program that provides instruction in understanding mental illness in day-to-day life. Participants will have an opportunity to develop a basic understanding of the disorders recognized in the fifth edition of the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) and to learn to be effective allies of people with mental illness. CareZone is a DegreePlus event. The workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Cardinal Room at Western Carolina University’s A.K. Hinds University Center. Seating is limited.
