Hunter Library’s Special Collections recently acquired more than 3,600 photographs documenting five decades of WCU activities, events and people. The Office of Communications and Public Relations provided the photos, which were taken by WCU staff photographers and other professional photographers and document change and growth on campus from the 1930s to the 1970s. Special Collections staff members and volunteers have organized the collection according to historical context. The photos are primarily black and white prints made from negatives and are not currently available online. To see them, visit Special Collections, open 9 a.m. until noon (and afternoons by appointment), Monday through Friday.
